Another noble highlight of the Sotheby's Geneva auction, was The Murat Tiara, which sold for $3,872,875 after an 11-minute telephone bidding war. Created by French jeweler Joseph Chaumet in 1920, the tiara was commissioned for the wedding of Prince Alexandre Murat and Yvonne Gillois. One of the largest known natural pearls, weighing 303.37 grains (about 75.84 carats) is the center stone of the rare headpiece.
Check out this gorgeous piece of art in motion, the luster on the pearls is amazing! I love the way you can see the old cut of the diamonds, with their faceted culets.
