Coming up for auction at Sotheby's on April 19th, is this beautiful 9.54 ct blue diamond, that belonged to child star and US diplomat Shirley Temple Black.
Shirley was a famous and amazing child actress and dancer during the depression years, known for her curls and cheery disposition.
The stone is a cushion cut, fancy deep blue, VVS2 clarity, and was purchased by her father in 1940, for her 12th birthday to celebrate her movie, "The Blue Bird."
It is estimated to go for between $25 to $35 million.
At age 22 she retired from the movies and later went on to become a diplomat in 1969, appointed by President Richard Nixon to the US Delegate to the 24th Nations General Assembly.
She was adorable and quite an amazing little dancer, as you can see for yourself in this video.
Here Shirley is being interviewed shortly after her autobiography was published.
